TARDEM Version 2.0

- demdir - Directory with UNIX source and Make files 
- demexe - directory with executable programs (DOS/WINTEL). Download individually, or the zip file tardem.zip that contains all programs. 
- demexamples - Directory with examples and data. 
  - Example input files netex.in, asf.in 
  - Example Fortran code (example.f) for working with DEM's
  - Example C code (cexample.c)  for working with DEM's 
  - ASCII grid input and output functions, qgio.f

Changes in Version 2:
- Use of ArcView/ArcInfo grid file format.  This works with ASCII files and direct access of Arc binary grid files using the ESRI application programmers interface. 
- Edge contamination checking in contributing area computations. 
- More channel network extraction programs.  Channel networks can be extracted using a number of algorithms, such as Peuker Douglas curvature criterion, Slope and Area function, in addition to the constant support area threshold that was used earlier.  Extracted channel networks can be saved in an Arc export format for ready import to ArcInfo or Arcview.
