How to use this module

This module consists of six sections each corresponding to a chapter in the workbook, "Rainfall Runoff  Processes".  We recommend that you print out this work book (as a whole or one section at a time) for reference as you work through the online resources in each section.  The workbook contains resource links to indicate where there is an online resource associated with the adjacent material.

There is an online quiz at the end of each section designed to reinforce your knowledge of the material covered in the section.  Once the quiz has been taken a check appears on the start page next to the section recording your progress through the module.  Once quizzes for all sections have been completed you have access to the online final exam.  Completion of the final exam symbolizes completion of this module and permits you to print out a completion certificate.

The material in the early parts of the module is qualitative introducing you to the terminology and conceptual models involved in describing Rainfall Runoff processes.  The latter parts of the module require users to perform quantitative calculations using a spreadsheet program such as Excel or an advanced engineering or scientific calculator. 

This module is designed to be completed in 6-15 hours depending on your quantitative background and a priori knowledge in this area.

The module was intended to be accessible to users with any current internet browser.  The following software was used.
