This is the archive site for the Utah State University component of the Geographic Information Systems in Water Resources Online Course held Fall Semester, 1999. August 26 - December 3.  This was a course presented by David Maidment at the University of Texas at Austin.  A group of USU students took this class and David Tarboton gave a guest lecture.  This site contains the archived USU guest lecture and term papers. To view the lectures on streaming video you need Real Player.  You only need the Free RealPlayer 7 Basic version of this, so follow the link "Real Player 7 Basic", fill out the form and download.

Note.  Some of the smaller details are not veiwable in the streaming video, so it is recommended that you download the powerpoint file in advance and view it in a separate window adjacent to the video.  Also over some connections the speed is too slow to properly view the streaming video.  You may hear sound without pictures - or get very erratic pictures.  In these cases we recommend that you download and save the whole streaming video file to your hard disk first, then view from your hard disk.
